Driver Training Unit

Wouldn't you prefer to travel with the appropriate skills and travel with people who also have those skills?

Photo caption: Unpredictable conditions require appropriate skills, such as here where a club member is crossing the normally dry Brachina Creek, Flinders Ranges National Park. Even bitumen driving requires an awareness that most 4WDs have a larger mass than the average family car and must be driven accordingly.

Purpose

The Driver Training Unit has the responsibility of setting vehicle operating skills/techniques, training policy, and training of club advisers/trainers, as well as overseeing the maintenance of training standards.

The activities of this Unit are restricted to fulfilling the requirements of member clubs and "outside" courses for the public are not yet approved.

Members from individual clubs who are qualified trainers undertake training for their club members.
